A Story for Land
- 10-10:30 Build birds and determine flocking staging
- 10:30-11 Interactive Storytelling: The Bird and the Mountain
- 11-11:30 Parade to Deitz park & Litter Pickup
What happens when the land doesn't have water? Come join us as we tell the story of a bird who loves a mountain!
How do paved highways and roads, buildings and houses, soccer fields and pools, shopping malls, and amusement parks shape our water, which shapes our land and the homes of the animals?
Make a bird who will join the flock of other participants and join us this Saturday at 10 AM.
We will need a flock of birds for our story this week! Additionally, the frogs from session 1 will be featured, and you are welcome to join us as a frog if you prefer.
We encourage you to consider creating a bird puppet to join our flock in the parade. You can prepare your own Bird Puppet before the event or join us between 10 and 10:30 to make one on the spot. We will have some materials available, or you can bring your own to craft with us. You can find these easy instructions with images here. We would love for you to join us and experience the joy of being a part of our flock!
July 13
10-11:30 AM
A Story for Water
Who needs water? You. Me. Birds. Bees. And Frogs. Come join us as we tell the story about how the Frog bravely took a stand to cry for rain!
Our region is in dire need of a shower! Might we be able to work together to call in the clouds?
Put together your frog costume, and join us this Saturday at 10AM.
Create your own Frog Headband before the event, or join us between 10-10:30 to make one on the spot. We will have some materials available, or you can bring your own. Check out these easy instructions with images here.
Also, we encourage you to listen to this song ahead of the session:
